Instant Polenta is made from coarsely ground Italian-grown flint corn. The classic preparation ratio is 1 part polenta to 4 parts salted boiling water. For added flavor, broth can be used, or some of the water can be replaced with milk (our preferred method). Bring your liquid to a full boil then slowly pour your Italian ground cornmeal in while stirring continuously over medium heat until it thickens. You can stir in butter or cheese for added flavor to this creamy Italian polenta.
